Jean E's Story
Hi, After VPHS I went to Fullerton JC and became a hairdresser and a wife and a mother of a beautiful baby girl, after a time we were divorced and I went to work at the Officers Club at El Toro Marine Base. After a couple of years there I went on vacation with a girl I worked with to Hawaii and meet the father of my soon to be son a 1 1/2 year later. We lived there for 15yrs or so. He got his EDD at UH , Dr. of Education, and then moved to Reno Nv. where he was a professor and head of the accounting dept. We got divorced when my son was 10 and stayed in Nv. for almost 25yrs. 2009 I came back to Ca . and was then diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma type B cell. At that time my daughter was having chemo at the same time I was but she had esophageal cancer and passed away in May 2010 at the age of 41, she had 2 children a son and daughter, they live in Texas. Since then I have not really done much, I went on 2 cruises, one to Mexico and then one to Alaska, Mexico was a 5 day and Alaska was a 10 day event. My son now lives in Arroyo Grande where I live and we are both doing well. I just turned 69 and my son turned 39 a month before my BD. Hope to see some of you at the reunion next year.
